Ayadjè means celebration in Goun, a language of southeastern Benin.  By choosing this name, I wish to convey to my clients and the birth community that every birth is a celebration of a new life, woman’s nature and ability to perform this truly awesome act, and the support that surrounds the new life of both mother and baby through partners, family, and friends.

As a labor and postpartum doula, I desire to celebrate you, your partner/family, and your baby by providing emotional, physical, psychological, and informational support through the prenatal, labor, and postpartum periods.  I vow to support your choice of care provider, the birth setting you desire, and your personal preferences during labor and birth.  A doula does not replace the father or partner who may also be supporting you.  I aim to enable this person, when necessary, to best support you.
